Bushel basket workshop

Come learn to make this gorgeous bushel basket ~ on Saturday, September 16th, instructor Barbara Sadler will teach you how! No prior experience is necessary. The class will begin at 10:30a.m and will last until 3:00p.m.The cost for the class is $80.00 (due to the large size of the basket and materials cost) and participants will be registered on a first come, first served basis. To register, please call Appalachian Arts Center at 276-596-9188, and reserve your spot with a credit card. Participants should bring scissors, a gallon bucket an old towel and a spray water bottle with them to class. Barbara Herald Sadler learned basket weaving from her paternal grandmother, who learned it from her mother. Barbara has passed it down to her daughters, keeping it in the family for over 100 years; she loves to share this heritage with her students.
