Best of Student Artworks Exhibit

Appalachian Arts Center will, for the second year, exhibit the best works of area high school students during January and February. Six area high schools will be participating: Graham, Tazewell, and Richlands from Tazewell County; Twin Valley from Buchanan County; Castlewood from Russell County; and Clintwood from Dickenson County. The works contain a variety of media including oil and acrylic paintings, watercolors, pastels and charcoal drawings, pencil and pen and ink, collage, digital photography, brass relief and pottery.

Sponsored by Barbette Patton and Michael Smith, the exhibition opens January 15th and will run through February 16th, 2013. A reception will be held on Saturday, February 9th from 2-4pm. The public is invited to stop by to meet these talented young artists from our community. The reception is free and light refreshments will be served.
