On Saturday, May 7th at 1:00p.m., Appalachian Arts Center will offer a Basic Zentangle®101 workshop. The Zentangle Method is an easy -to -learn, relaxing, and fun way to make art by drawing deliberate strokes, which build upon each other to form structured patterns. If you can write your name, you can use this method to create beautiful images.  Zentangle increases focus and creativity, provides artistic satisfaction, along with an increased sense of personal well-being. It is enjoyed all over the world, across a wide range of skills, interests, and ages. “Creating Zentangle art can be a form of meditation, allowing the creator to enter a state of relaxed focus in which intuitive insights and fresh ideas flow freely. On Tuesday, May 3rd, from 6-8pm, Appalachian Arts Center will host a spring blossom Painting Party.

 

Virginia Warner will lead participants in the creation of an acrylic painting of the spring blossoms shown above. No experience is necessary; the only thing needed is the desire to have lots of fun, paint, and enjoy the company of your fellow painters!

 

A unique way to celebrate Mothers' day, or just a great girls’ night out, the cost is $40 per person and includes all materials and refreshments. Punch and snacks will be served during the break. Each participant will leave with a completed 16x20 canvas.

 

Space is limited to 20 participants, registered on a first come, first served basis. In order to hold your spot, payments must be received in full.
